Many thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time to put smiles on the faces of the children. The impact this event has on the kids can be seen in the note below that Ken Johnson received from a patron.
Thank you to all the volunteers, past and present, who have helped make an impression on these new gardeners.
A reminder to keep those small pots for next year’s show. We will be glad to take them off your hands.

Note: Impact on children
Hi Juri and Sue,
When we were manning the booth last Wednesday at the Home Show, a mother came to the booth to tell us what a major and lasting impact we had on her sons’ lives over the years.
Her two boys started getting their Mother’s Day pansies when they were very young. They did this every year well into their teens. They looked forward to getting their pansies, planting, looking after them and watching them grow in the garden. She said it was absolutely imperative they come to the home show every year just for the pansies.
When she came this year they were not with her but told her to come by and thank us for the fun and memories they had over the years..
They are 27 and 29 years old today. Thanks for carrying the torch and doing such a great job on this event. We had no idea the program has been running this long and we have no idea how many other lives may have been touched over the years.
Thought we should share this with you.
Ken Johnson
