Members' Meetings for 2024
Members’ meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Fergus Legion at 7:30 pm, located at 500 Blair Street, Fergus. Map It
Entries for the flower shows must be placed between 4:30pm and 6:00pm on the day of the meeting.
Flexibility will be used to ensure the health and safety of our members at in-person meetings. Procedures for name tags, prize draws, and refreshments will be adjusted based on best health practices at the time of the meetings.

October 23. 2024 Mark Zelinski – Niagara Escarpment – Land Between Waters
A board member of UNESCO The Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Network, Zelinski’s lifelong appreciation of this UNESCO World Biosphere has inspired him to create his 10th coffee table book, a new 250-page edition featuring brilliant landscape, wildlife and cultural photographs of this unique landform, with emphasis on Niagara Peninsula, Saugeen Peninsula and Manitoulin Island. https://www.markzelinski.com/
November 27, 2024 Annual General Meeting & Potluck Dinner
Sign-up for a dish that you will prepare and bring to the dinner. Doors open at 6:00 pm, dinner is served at 6:30 pm. Bring your own plates, cups, and utensils

March 27, 2024 Dr John Reaume – Birds and Blossoms
John has an eye for detail and has used it in his hobby of wildlife photography over past 35 years. He started off specializing in bird photography but his interests have broadened and now include the wonders of wildflower photography to the world of macrophotography (dragon flies and spiders) as well as astrophotography (sun & moon & nebulas). His photos have graced the covers of a number of magazines and books including Ontario’s second Breeding Bird Atlas
April 24, 2024 David Hobson – Chelsea Flower Show
David Hobson has digital ink stains on his green thumb and lives in Waterloo, where he loves to watch things grow – his children, his garden, his friends, and his compost heap (which should eventually shrink). David was born and raised in Yorkshire, England, but has made Canada his home. A humorist, storyteller, and photographer, he is a popular speaker at horticultural societies and gardening clubs, where he shares the humour and passion of a lifelong gardener.

Brian has been in the landscaping business since high school. Brian pursued his formal education at the University of Guelph. Brian now manages his business on a scenic property near Walkerton, Ontario with 108 acres since 1996. Brian will be bringing product for sale. https://folmergardens.com/
