Welcome to the Fergus & District Horticultural Society website. Our Society was founded in 1857 and has been dedicated to preserving the horticultural heritage in Fergus and area for more than 166 years! Our Society members are interested in learning about plants and gardening, and work hard to enhance our community’s natural beauty.

Winter 2026 Edition of Trillium has arrived!
We are pleased to share with you the Winter Edition of the Trillium.
This issue is filled with excellent articles from the OHA as well as inspiring stories and updates from horticultural societies and clubs across Ontario. It highlights the creativity, dedication, and community spirit that make our Association so vibrant.
We encourage you to take some time to enjoy the contributions from volunteers throughout the province. Their work reflects the passion and commitment that continue to keep horticulture thriving in our communities.

Diggers in the Dirt – Meeting January 20, 2026
Diggers will be meeting on Tuesday January 20th from 9:30-11:30 to plan for the new season at the Stone Gable Hall, second floor, 181 St Andrew Street East – parking to the East of the entrance Google Map. All members, including existing and new, are welcome.
