A very successful Seedy Saturday event was held on March 25th at the Wellington County Museum & Archives, jointly organized by the Fergus & District and Elora & Salem Horticultural Societies.

Primary feature was a free seed exchange table, with vegetable and perennials seeds voluntarily provided by society members and local gardeners.

Also present were commercial vendors of seeds, bulbs, plants, and garden supplies. Community groups, such as CW Food Forest, Community Gardens Network, and Neighbourwoods, were also represented.

With 289 members of the general public attending this free event, some vendors claimed this was “the best Seedy Saturday they had ever attended”.
